Strawberry syrup for pancakes recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ib organic Strawberries (453 grams)
  • 2 cups water (480 ml)
  • 1 cup of sugar (200 grams)
  • Zest and juice of a lemon

Instructions

  • #1 – In a medium saucepan add all the above ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • #2 – Skim the top of any foam forms and boil for about 25 minutes.
  • #3 – Strain the strawberries out through a colander.
  • #4 – Try not to press on the strawberries otherwise, your syrup will be cloudy.
  • #5 – Store in a mason jar in your refrigerator.
