Ingredients

  • For cooking Masoor Dal –
  • 2 cups red lentils (12 ounces /340 grams)
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 3 spicy chili peppers
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 coriander
  • Salt to taste

For Tadka:-

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 1tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger
