Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (250 grams)
- 1/2 granulated sugar (100 grams)
- 1 stick butter (4 ounces) (112 grams)
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder (7 grams)
- Zest of an orange
- 4 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/8 tsp salt if you’re using unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (50 grams)
- 1/2 cup powder sugar (50 grams)
Instructions

Add softened butter and sugar in stand up mixer with the paddle attachment.

Work until light and fluffy, add the egg. Let it get incorporated and add vanilla and orange juice.

Remove from the mixer and sift in flour and baking powder.

Move back to the mixer and at a slow speed let all the ingredients incorporate. It will form a soft, sticky dough.

Let it rest in the refrigerator for one hour or more.

In a bowl mix the granulated sugar and powder sugar.

With a tablespoon size ice cream scooper scoop out cookie dough and roll between your hands forming a ball.

Roll in the 2 sugar mixture and line one inch apart on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 Celsius) for 15 minutes until lightly golden. Be Careful not to overcook.

Sprinkle the remainder of the sugar while the cookie is still hot.
