Crostata di Marmellata Recipe | Peach Tart

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (500 grams)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200 grams)
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tsp baking powder (16 grams)
  • 1 3/4 stick(7 ounces) softened or melted butter(200 grams)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Zest of a lemon
  • 10 ounces of your favorite jam for the pasta Frolla

Instructions

  • Step#1- In a large bowl combine all the ingredients and with one hand gently fold to incorporate to form a soft dough.
  • Step#2- Refrigerate at least 2 hours before rolling to make the crostata base.
  • Step#3- Roll your dough about 1/4 inch thickness and cover the base of an 11-inch tart mold.
  • Step#4- Spread the jam on top of the dough.
  • Step#5-Now roll more dough out and make 1 inch thick strips to decorate the top of the crostata.
  • Step#6- Bake at 350 for about 35 minutes. (180 Celsius)
  • Step#7- With the remaining dough, you can cut our two-inch rounds and place them in a small muffin pan and add one tsp of Nutella in it.

    If you still have a dough roll a 6-inch log and twist on itself to make small cookies.
